1. Using the Jameson Tools website
This website is operated for Jameson Tools by Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd. The site is intended for trade workshops, businesses, and individual customers in South Africa who need hand tools, power-tool accessories, workshop starter kits, and related support. By using the site, you confirm that you are legally able to enter into binding agreements.
You may use the website to browse products, request quotations, place orders, and access training or support information. You must not use the site in a way that disrupts service, places strain on systems, or interferes with other users. We may suspend access if we believe the site is being used unlawfully or in a manner that creates risk to our business or customers.
- Use the site only for lawful business or personal purchasing purposes.
- Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, data, or internal systems.
- Do not copy, scrape, or republish site content without written permission.
2. Product information, pricing, and stock
We aim to keep product descriptions, images, pricing, and stock availability accurate, but errors may happen. Measurements, kit contents, compatibility notes, and delivery timeframes should be checked before you place an order, especially where you are matching items for existing workshop equipment or consumable schedules. Product suitability remains your responsibility unless we have confirmed it in writing.
Prices are shown in Rand and may change without notice. Quotations are valid only for the period stated on the quotation, or if no period is stated, for 7 calendar days from issue. Stock levels can change quickly, particularly during seasonal workshop refresh periods, bulk orders, or where replacement parts are sourced for specific applications.
- All pricing is subject to confirmation at checkout or on quotation acceptance.
- We may correct obvious pricing or description errors before dispatch.
- Product images are for reference and may differ slightly from the supplied item.
3. Orders, payment, and account responsibility
When you place an order, you are making an offer to buy the listed goods on these terms. An order is accepted only once payment has cleared, a trade account order has been approved, or we have confirmed dispatch. We may decline or cancel an order if stock is unavailable, payment is not received, or the order appears inconsistent with normal trade use.
If you open or use a trade account, you are responsible for keeping company details, contact information, and delivery addresses current. You are also responsible for all activity carried out under that account. If you believe account details have been misused, notify us without delay at orders@jameson.co.za.
- Payments must be made using the method agreed at checkout or on the invoice.
- Trade account terms apply only when approved in writing.
- We may request identification or company documents before releasing goods.
4. Delivery across Durban and nationwide
We coordinate courier delivery from our Pinetown base to Durban, the greater KwaZulu-Natal area, and nationwide. Delivery dates are estimates only and may be affected by load-shedding, weather, road conditions, courier delays, or access issues at your premises. Where you request on-site delivery, you must ensure that someone is available to receive and sign for the goods.
Risk in the goods passes to you when the parcel is handed to the courier or when collected by you or your appointed representative, unless we agree otherwise in writing. Please inspect deliveries promptly and report shortages, visible damage, or incorrect items within 48 hours of receipt. Coastal humidity, site dust, and workshop conditions can affect some items if they are not stored correctly after delivery.
- Provide complete delivery instructions, including unit numbers and access details.
- Check parcels before signing where possible.
- Report delivery issues within 48 hours by email.
5. Returns, warranties, and workshop support
Returns are handled in line with South African consumer law and any written terms that apply to the specific product or order. Items returned must usually be unused, in original packaging where possible, and accompanied by proof of purchase. Special-order items, consumables, and goods supplied to your specifications may not be returnable unless they are defective or we are legally required to accept the return.
Where a product is found to be faulty, we may repair, replace, or refund it depending on the circumstances and supplier requirements. Our training resources, on-site inductions, tool kit planning, and workshop setup advice are guidance services only. They do not replace formal safety procedures, manufacturer instructions, or compliance obligations at your workplace.
- Keep proof of purchase and delivery records for all claims.
- Use tools and accessories according to their rated application.
- Follow your own site safety rules and municipal or occupational requirements.
6. Content, intellectual property, and acceptable use
All text, images, layout elements, product lists, training material, and downloadable content on this website are owned by or licensed to Jameson Tools or Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd. You may view and print pages for normal business use, but you may not reproduce, alter, distribute, or commercially exploit any content without written consent.
You must not post or transmit material that is defamatory, unlawful, threatening, or harmful to our systems or other users. We may remove submissions, block access, or take further steps where necessary to protect our operations and customers. Any feedback you submit may be used to improve our service, products, or support materials, but it does not create an obligation to act on it.
7. Liability limits and governing law
We take care to provide accurate information and dependable service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the website or that every product will meet every specific purpose. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect loss, lost profit, loss of production, or delays caused by courier networks, supplier shortages, power interruptions, or events beyond our control.
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute arising from the use of the website or our services will be dealt with under South African law. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
If you have questions about these terms, contact us at orders@jameson.co.za. We may update these Terms of Use from time to time, and the current version will apply from the date it is published on the site.
